Qualification:

a) The candidate must be a Class 10th Passed or 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from the recognized Board.

b)Technical Qualification: ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT / SCVT is compulsory in relevant trade.


Age Limit:

The Candidate should not be less than 15 years and not above 24 years as of 24-06-2021.

Age Relaxation:

The upper age limit is relaxable as under:

i) 5 years for ST(H) & (P) /SC candidates.

ii) 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates.

iii) 10 years for PWD candidates.


Application Fee:

● Application fees (Non-refundable) – Rs. 100/-

● No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Women Applicants.

● Fee payment will have to be made online through the payment gateway as part of the online application process.


Selection Process:

Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared to take the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.


How to Apply Western Railway Apprentice Recruitment:

Applicants must submit their applications ONLINE at www.rrc-wr.com.

Personal details/ Trade / Aadhaar number / Marks / CGPA /preference for Divisions / Workshops, etc. should be filled out carefully since the Computerised Merit list will be created solely on the basis of the information provided by the applicant in the ONLINE application.


Aadhaar Card is required for all applicants. Applicants must include their 12-digit Aadhaar Card number before registering. Applicants who do not have an Aadhaar number or who have enlisted for Aadhaar but have not yet received their Aadhaar card can enter the 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID written on the Aadhaar Enrolment slip.

Except for Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam, this rule applies to applicants from all states and union territories. At the time of online application, applicants from these states can include their voter ID number, valid passport number, driving licence number, or any other valid Government identity card in the online application form. At the time of Document Verification, applicants must present an original Aadhaar card or one of the documents listed above.

Documents to be Uploaded: 

i) SSC (Standard 10th) or it's equivalent Mark Sheet.

ii) Certificate for proof of date of birth.

iii) Consolidated ITI mark Sheet of all semesters of the trade-in which applied / Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks.

iv) National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT or Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT / SCVT.

v) Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC and EWS Certificate.

vi) Disability certificate, in case of PwBD.

vii) Discharge certificate / Serving certificate, in case of Applicants applied against Ex-Servicemen quota.

viii) Applicants are required to upload a Scanned copy/ soft copy of their colour photograph (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm ) taken not later than three months from the date of application, JPG / JPEG format, 100 DPI, size of the file should be between 20 KB -70 KB)

ix) Applicants are also required to upload the Scanned copy / soft copy their signature (size 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, JPG / JPEG format, 100 DPI, size of the file should be between 20 KB – 30 KB).
