 AHSEC HS 1st Year Exam 2022 Postpones


Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has issued the Assam HS 1st year Exam for the year 2022. From the 4th of May 2022 forward, the AHSEC will conduct the Higher Secondary First Year (1st) Year Examination


Assam Higher secondary first-year examinations 2022 scheduled for May 18 to May 21 have been postponed until further notice, according to the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).


According to an official announcement from AHSEC, the decision was made due to the current inclement weather and the damages caused by natural calamities in the state.


"...all Heads of Institutions Under AHSEC that the HS First Year Examinations being conducted by AHSEC are suspended till further order due to prevailing inclement weather and in view of damages caused by natural calamities in the state," the announcement said.




"Furthermore, due to loss of surface communication in the Dima Hasao District, all examinations scheduled to take place from May 18th to June 1st, 2022 are suspended until further instruction," it added.

Following heavy downpours since the past few days, several places in Dima Hasao witnessed landslides affecting normal life with road connectivity being disrupted. According to reports, the road connecting Haflong to Silchar has been completely cut off as the water level rose up to the highway near Kapurcherra.


While the Haflong-Lanka road has also been cut off at many places.


According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), floods have affected around 2 lakh people in 20 districts across the state.


Cachar district recorded two flood-related deaths, while three died in Dima Hasao due to landslides.


The route between Haflong to Silchar has been entirely blocked off, according to sources, as the water level has reached the roadway near Kapurcherra.In many locations, the Haflong-Lanka road has also been cut off. (Previous Report)


Floods have affected almost 2 lakh people in 20 districts across Assam, according to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).



Two people perished in floods in Cachar, while three people died in landslides in Dima Hasao.


The disaster has displaced 1,97,248 people from 652 villages. Bajali, Baksa, Biswanath, Cachar, Charaideo, Darrang, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Dima Hasao, Hojai, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong West, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Majuli, Nagaon, Nalbari, Sonitpur, Tamulpur, and Udalguri are among the 20 districts affected by flooding. Following recent heavy rains, landslides have occurred in various locations in Dima Hasao, disrupting regular living and disrupting road connectivity.
